Service to assess fundraising plans

A marketing consultancy will launch a service later this month that it claims can predict the likely success or failure of fundraising campaigns.

The Marketing Capability Assessment Tool, which has been produced by the Kinetic Partnership, looks at how prepared organisations are to carry out fundraising activities and examines external factors that will affect their effectiveness.

Rob Wells, senior partner at Kinetic, said the service was developed in response to someone asking how they could tell if communications and fundraising plans would work. "It takes the complexity out of this kind of work," he said.

The service is initially available on a consultancy basis, but Kinetic hopes to produce a self-assessment version later this year.
