More than 80 charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises are contenders to win in 2011

The judges in the Third Sector Excellence Awards 2011 have chosen more than 80 organisations for the shortlists.

The 21 judges – Third Sector columnists, charity leaders, regulators and consultants – made their selections earlier this month from a record entry of nearly 400.

The 23 categories in the awards, now in their seventh year, range from Annual Report to Innovation in Fundraising and Small Charity, Big Achiever.

The black-tie awards ceremony will be on Wednesday 28 September at the Lancaster London Hotel in west London.
