Sir Bert Massie joins Acevo northern steering group

Commissioner for the Compact joins 13 existing members elected last year

Sir Bert Massie, Commissioner for the Compact, has joined the northern steering group of sector chief executives body Acevo.

Massie has been co-opted oto the group, which was set up in April 2008 to provide advice to Acevo's work in the north of England.

Massie joins the 13 existing members of the group who were elected by Acevo members last year.

Tony Collins, chair of the group and chief executive of Saint Michael's Hospice, said the group would profit from Massie's involvement.

"As a founding member of Acevo, he knows more than most the benefit of a network of peers that can speak collectively and share challenges," said Collins.

Massie said he was pleased to have the opportunity to contribute again to the work of Acevo.
