Freedom from Torture, a charity that provides treatment and rehabilitation for torture survivors, has appointed Susan Munroe as its new chief executive. Previously she was director of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust and director of nursing and patient services at Marie Curie Cancer Care. She will take up her new role on 1 September.
Lisa Gagliani has been appointed the first chief executive of the poverty charity the Childhood Trust. She joins from the enterprise charity Bright Ideas where she was chief executive, having previously been chief executive of Kingston Chamber of Commerce for 11 years.
Tim Joss is leaving the Rayne Foundation, where he has been director for nine years, to be the first chief executive of Aesop. The charity's mission is to use art to help create social change in a sustainable way.
Amnesty International has appointed Anna Neistat, a human rights expert and specialist in conflict areas, as senior director for research. She is moving from the US-based Human Rights Watch, where she was associate director for program and emergencies.
