Tea leaves return flowers

Staff at Marie Curie Cancer Care's Northampton office are celebrating after two giant daffodil costumes that had been stolen from the charity were found dumped in an alleyway behind a local supermarket.

The charity was worried that the thieves wanted to pose as charity collectors, but Nimod Odedra, the supermarket manager, said the theft had been a prank by local youths who were known to him.

"I found out who had done it and I told them to make sure the costumes were returned by the end of the day otherwise I would tell the police," said Odedra. "It was the best I could do."
