- How many fundraisers are in your team?
There are nine fundraising staff at our head office in Leeds, five community fundraisers and a community fundraising manager.
- What does the team do?
We have a small events team, an individual giving team and fundraisers for trusts and corporate partnerships. We are a membership charity and its growth is managed by the fundraising department, as is the trading arm of the charity.
- How much do you raise?
Last year we raised £2.45m. A quarter to a third of our income is from legacies. Events, including our own and those that are organised by supporters, raise more than £500,000 a year for us.
- What's in the pipeline?
We're focused on our Christmas fundraising, with a raffle, appeal, seasonal events and trading. Hot on the heels of that, we'll be looking forward to hundreds of celebrities, schools and businesses coming together to make February's National Doodle Day, our annual fundraising event, bigger than ever before.
- What's it like in the office?
We're an enthusiastic and energetic team - and, as one of the few national charities based in Leeds, there's a lot of experience here too. It's great sharing an office with our helpline and local services colleagues - it gives us a real sense of the difference we are making to the lives of people with epilepsy.
