How many fundraisers are in your team?

I have 11 fundraising staff, including eight that are full-time and our supporter care team.

What does the team do?

The team works together on a diverse portfolio of fundraising programmes, including trusts and statutory, legacies, high-value donors, direct mail, regular giving, online, events, community and corporate fundraising. Our main focus is on building strong relationships, inspiring our supporters to help us create a better world for people affected by mental illness and raising the charity's profile.

How much do you raise?

Last year we brought in about £4.6m from trust and statutory sources, £860,000 from legacies, £600,000 from individuals, £260,000 from community/events and about £70,000 from our corporate partners.

What's in the pipeline?

We are developing a couple of really exciting online products that use video and SMS fundraising to recruit new donors. We are also looking at upping our game in terms of high-value donor stewardship.

What's it like in the office?

The office is open plan and we are a diverse bunch, generating a lively but focused atmosphere. We have worked hard to create an environment where people feel motivated to share their experiences and learn from each other, so it is a place in which I am proud to work.
