- How many fundraisers are there in your team?

The fundraising team is made up of 10 people based in our central London office. We're lucky to have our data people working in-house as part of the team - they manage external agencies on tasks such as recruiting regular givers.

- What does the team do?

We manage a wide range of programmes, including regular giving, direct mail, legacies, community fundraising, events and corporate partnerships, as well as activities during Cancer Prevention Week in May, which is a highlight of our fundraising and awareness calendar.

- How much do you raise?

Last year we raised more than £8.6m. Just over half (52 per cent) came from donations such as cash gifts and direct mail, 18 per cent came from regular gifts and 18 per cent was from legacies, with areas such as trading and Gift Aid making up the rest.

- What's in the pipeline?

We are in the planning stage of an exciting communications and fundraising campaign that we will launch in 2013. The campaign aims primarily to boost awareness of our brand and message, but there's also a fundraising side to it and we hope to generate some new donors.

- What's it like in the office?

We have a variety of personalities with a lot of different skills. This makes it easier to develop new ideas that can be turned into fundraising opportunities. Sometimes it can get a bit hectic as a result, but we like it that way.
