Francis Bacon, assistant director of digital services and change, The Samaritans

Francis is responsible for new digital services for callers and volunteers at Samaritans, where he has led on the introduction of a new webchat service, volunteer recruitment journey, online self-help tool and intranet. Prior to Samaritans he was Digital Manager at the Royal Society, where he oversaw an award-winning overhaul of digital marketing, engagement and operations. He has also worked with a number of charities including British Asian Trust, The Prince of Wales Charitable Fund and the Croucher Foundation. He is a graduate of University of Oxford and the School of Oriental and African Sciences (SOAS).
