Tesco signs deal with sector pair

The Shaw Trust and Remploy have signed new service level agreements with Tesco to offer employment opportunities to disabled people.

Since the first agreement between the two charities and the supermarket in 2004, nearly 400 disabled people have been employed in stores across the country.

Under the enhanced agreements, 'let's get closer' store awareness days will be held to improve the charities' understanding of employment opportunities and alert them to new store openings.

"We hope the new SLAs will allow us to use our trusted ways of working across even more stores," said a spokeswoman for Remploy.
