Third Sector has launched its inaugural Best Charities to Work For scheme, which seeks to identify the best employers in the sector.
The survey will be carried out by the specialist research firm Best Companies Group.
The scheme is open to any registered UK charity that has been operating for more than a year and has a minimum of 15 full-time or part-time employees working in the UK.
It is free to take part in the assessment and rankings, but charities can purchase detailed feedback from the Best Companies Group at rates considerably lower than the industry standard.
Charities will be evaluated on their overall employee satisfaction ratings as well as their employment policies. These could include flexible working hours or their commitment to widening opportunities for people from minority groups.
To take part, organisations must register before the deadline of 15 November. The best-ranked charities will be announced in Third Sector in early 2020.
Andy Hillier, editor of Third Sector, said: "The charity sector has some of the most forward-thinking employers in the UK. Best Charities to Work For is a great opportunity to showcase your organisational culture and leadership models, and to position yourself as an employer of choice."
