Third Sector Podcast: Charities and climate change

This week's episode looks at what charities are doing for the environment

In this episode, features and analysis writer Rebecca Cooney and editor Emily Burt explore how charities are contributing to the fight against climate change.

They discuss the statement from the charity leaders body Acevo last week, which said that as the sector commits to "building back better" from the Covid-19 pandemic, there is an opportunity to give the global climate crisis the urgent attention it deserves.

The statement called on leaders to commit to a series of principles in pursuing climate justice, built around three A’s: acknowledgement, ambition, and action.

They also look at the progress made by the signatories of the Association of Charitable Foundations' Funder Commitment on Climate Change.

And in coronavirus care package of charity good news stories, they hear about Roshan, the mobile library camel working in a remote area of Pakistan (pictures here).
