This week, Third Sector's editor Emily Burt chats to Samir Patel, chief executive of Comic Relief, about how digital tools can help a charity achieve its goals.
In an interview, taken from the Third Sector Tech Summit last week, they discuss how the pandemic has forced charities to accelerate their implementation of digital tools and new technology in a way no one could have predicted two years ago - and where they go from here.
They also look at how digital tools can be incorporated into strategy development, how to assess where the gaps are and how larger organisations can work with smaller ones to help them navigate new technological challenges.
Elsewhere in the episode, Third Sector features and analysis writer Rebecca Cooney and news editor Andy Ricketts talk about the All-Party Parliamentary Group about the National Trust, set up without the charity's knowledge.
And in the Good News Bulletin, they discuss charities' campaigning wins so far in 2022, as outlined in this Twitter thread from Kirsty McNeil, executive director of policy and advocacy at Save the Children.
Don’t let anyone tell you campaigning doesn’t work or you don’t have any power. Here’s a little thread of campaigning wins so far in 2022.— Kirsty McNeill (@kirstyjmcneill) February 4, 2022
