Volunteering charity TimeBank has appointed the fundraising director at the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association as its new chief executive.
Helen Walker, who has been at Ssafa since 2002, will take up the post in July. Walker was previously head of fundraising at Hospitality Action, the benevolent association for the hospitality industry.
Paul Jackson, chair of TimeBank, said Walker would be able to drive the organisation forward.
“We are delighted that Helen has agreed to join us as our chief executive,” he said. “She has the vision and the drive to lead TimeBank into an exciting and ambitious future. We’re proud of what we have achieved so far and can’t wait to do more with Helen leading the team.”
