The trust, which gets about 95 per cent of its funds from government contracts, is recruiting a trust fundraising manager and a fundraising officer for its head office in Wiltshire. The trust's board had decided to increase the funds it raises from non-statutory sources.
Sherri Nickson, corporate partnerships manager at the trust, said the extra funds would enable it to provide training and work opportunities for more disabled people. It currently provides work opportunities for about 70,000 people who are disabled, ill or excluded from work because of other social circumstances.
Nickson said: "It just makes sense - we want to raise more money to support more people."
The trust will be conducting interviews for the two new roles in mid-October.
