Trustee appointments: Tim Howe joins the British Heart Foundation

Plus: Louise Stigant becomes a trustee at GroceryAid, and Karen Wespieser joins the board of Parentkind

The British Heart Foundation has appointed Tim Howe QC, a commercial barrister, as a trustee. Howe, who has served as chair of the Bar Council Member Services Board and who is vice-chair of Godolphin & Latymer School, will take up his new role next month.

Louise Stigant, managing director of the snacks company Mondelez, and Helen Murray, special projects lawyer at the supermarket Wm Morrison, have been appointed trustees at GroceryAid.

The education charity Parentkind has added Karen Wespieser to its board. Wespeiser, who took up the role on 18 September, is currently the director of operations at the Driver Youth Trust and also set up the Twitter educational research chat #UKEdResChat.

The grant-maker the CareTech Foundation has appointed the chief executive of the nuclear safety regulator the Office for Nuclear Regulation as a trustee. Adriènne Kelbie is the charity’s third external trustee and was appointed after an extensive external recruitment drive.
