There are two weeks left of Third Sector’s search to find the best up-and-coming talent in the fundraising sector.
Now in their second year, the Fundraisers: The New Generation awards identify those who have the potential to become the next generation of great fundraisers and fundraising leaders.
Those who think they’ve got what it takes have got just two weeks to submit their entries.
The awards are free to enter and are open to fundraisers at all levels, but they must have worked in the fundraising sector for less than three years. There is no upper age limit.
Applications from fundraisers who work for agencies are also welcome.
The deadline for applications is Thursday 15 March.
Fundraisers can apply by submitting entries of up to 500 words setting out why they chose to join the profession, what they consider their proudest moment, how they have contributed to the success of their team or clients and what they want to achieve in the next five years.
A short supporting statement from the fundraiser’s line manager, or a client, is also required.
Applicants are encouraged to submit videos of no more than 90 seconds about themselves, which might include contributions from colleagues, volunteers or even beneficiaries. However, the video is optional.
Fundraisers who make the list will be featured in the May/June issue of Third Sector and presented with trophies at a drinks reception in central London on the evening of Tuesday 22 May.
Andy Hillier, editor of Third Sector, said: "Fundraisers do an incredible job in often challenging circumstances. It’s therefore important that we recognise and nurture the emerging talent in the sector.
"The New Generation awards are a great way to reward the hard work of those up-and-coming fundraisers who exist in every fundraising department."
