Umbrella offers deal on IoD membership

The NCVO has announced it is offering a special discount to trustees, chief executives and directors of its organisations who want to join the Institute of Directors.

NCVO spokesperson Martin Nee said the discounted price was in response to membership feedback. “It was clear from the intelligence we gathered during focus groups carried out last year that a number of our members wanted us to offer improved networking opportunities and services,” he said.

IoD Spokesperson Louise Jackson said the Institute, which is a not-for-profit, was happy to help. “We like to support the NCVO because we support their vision and we want to add to the business leaders of charitable organisations,” she said. “We want to give them and their business a competitive advantage.”

Registered charity leaders will be able to waive the one off “election fee” at registration. New members will pay £285 per year, saving £200 while those not registered will pay £385, saving £100.
