Dodds was involved in the accident last week while holidaying in France. She received treatment at a hospital in Caen, north-west France, where she was in a coma for a week. She died on 6 June.

Before joining UnLtd, she worked at homelessness charity Crisis and before that at the management consultancy firm Accenture.

Cliff Prior, chief executive of UnLtd, paid tribute to her professional flair in supporting promising social entrepreneurs. "She was just incredibly energetic and driven, intelligent and incisive," he said.

Rod Schwartz, chef executive of consultancy Catalyst Fund Management and Research, told Third Sector: "Sarah was very intense, high-energy and quick. You had to work really hard to keep up with her.

"The best word to describe her would be passionate. She really was quite amazing," added Schwartz, who has also written a blog about his memories of Dodds.

A family memorial service will be held on 14 June in Notting Hill, London. Those wishing to send messages or flowers should email laurasmith@unltd.org.uk.
