Urban Forum chief Watson quits post

The chief executive of Urban Forum, the umbrella body for community groups involved in regeneration, has left the organisation by mutual agreement.

Oscar Watson, who was formerly involved in community theatre, was in post for only eight months.

A statement from the forum said: "It is with regret that Urban Forum announces that Oscar Watson is leaving as chief executive by mutual agreement. Oscar has much to contribute to the neighbourhood renewal field and we wish him luck in the future."

A spokesman for Urban Forum said his departure was due to a "difference in style".
