Voluntary sector vet could be 'Bachelor of the Year'

Georgina Lock

A PDSA vet has fought off competition from hundreds of hunky bachelors to gain a place in the final of Company magazine's Bachelor of the Year competition.

Steve Howard, a senior veterinary surgeon at PDSA's PetAid hospital in Swansea, will be featured in the June edition of the magazine.

He said: "Although I'm shocked to be in the final, I'm very flattered.

"It's such a well-known event, but it has been such fun to take part in. It's certainly very different to a day at the PDSA Pet-Aid hospital."

Howard, who stars in the PDSA TV advert currently showing in regions across the UK, will be strutting his stuff on the catwalk alongside celebrities including George Best's son Callum and Kenzie from Blazin' Squad, at the Bachelor of the Year party tomorrow, when the winner will be announced.
