Volunteer push in workshops offer

The Dare to Care campaign, aimed at recruiting 35,000 volunteers to help tackle poverty in the UK, is offering more places on its free workshops after demand outstripped supply.

The workshops, run by CSV, will take place in Newcastle, York, Leicester, Birmingham and London from 30 July, and will train charity delegates on how to effectively engage the public. The London workshop on 3 August sold out in 48 hours.

The campaign will be launched in October. It is run by CSV and the coalition of charities that make up the End Child Poverty campaign.
