Your round-up of the latest fundraising campaigns

Action for Children has launched an appeal to raise £17m over the next three years to tackle child neglect. Supporters can use a new website to create personalised marketing materials for events they are organising. The campaign will also include street prospecting, direct mail and cold telemarketing.

Toy company Worlds Apart has launched a Ready for Bed Week to support Sleeping Children Around the World, which provides mattresses and bedding for children in the developing world. The company will sponsor one bed kit for every 100 downloads of a reward chart from its website.

National Museums Liverpool wants supporters to adopt thornback rays in the River Mersey for £10 each to fund a project to tag the rays in the Liverpool Bay area. The organisation says the number of rays in some sea areas has fallen by 80 per cent since the 1980s.

Four Oxford University graduates have cycled across the US to raise funds for the Sick Children's Trust. They raised more than £8,000 by completing the 4,000-mile trip from the west to the east coast in two months, sleeping in tents on the way.
