What's New: Railway Children, Starfish, Trinity Hospice and Bournemouth Churches Housing Association

Railway Children, the Cheshire-based charity that works with street children in India, Africa and the UK, will hold its Santa Dash on 20 December. Hundreds of people dressed as Father Christmas are expected to take part in the 2.5km fun run or 10km race through the streets of Nantwich.

Aids charity Starfish will receive half the profits from tickets for the rugby match between Saracens and Northampton at Wembley Stadium on 12 September. There will also be performances from Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity, a tug of war contest and camel racing.

Trinity Hospice hopes to raise more than £100,000 for its community nursing programme with the help of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. Oliver's food and kitchen shop Recipease is encouraging people to invite friends and family to Dine@Mine events, which see dinner party guests donate money to the hospice.

Housing and social care provider Bournemouth Churches Housing Association is holding its Roadblock Street Festival in Bournemouth on 19 September. There will be music acts and children's activities.
