Participants in Santa suits are challenged to run a one-mile route around the stadium. The New Children's Hospital Appeal, the Legacy Rainbow House, Francis House Children's Hospice, Christie's, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and the Children's Society will all benefit from funds raised on the day. There will also be Christmas stalls and carol singers after the event. Entry costs £10 per person and includes a Santa suit. Alternatively, families can pay £20 for a Santa suit and three hats.
The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation is asking people to donate their old mobile phones and printer cartridges to its recycling appeal. Any cash raised will go towards patient and family support and cancer research.
