What exciting projects are you working on?
We are pleased to be extending our work raising awareness about the risks and signs of malnutrition and dehydration amongst individuals, carers and stakeholders who have routine contact with older people aged over 65. This Public Health Excellence Award winning project is now being replicated in Stockport, Oldham, Bolton, Bury and Rochdale.
What roles are you currently recruiting for?
We are seeking an experienced programme manager to lead the Greater Manchester Nutrition and Hydration pilot programme, and also five project workers to work with local leads in Public Health and stakeholders to deliver the project in Stockport, Oldham, Bury, Rochdale and Bolton.
What kind of people are you looking for?
We are looking for people who are passionate about making a difference and who will be excited about the challenge of working in a new and innovative way. The project will be an exemplar of partnership working in each of the local areas. The programme manager role will require developed project management skills in particular, and the project workers will need to have excellent influencing skills.
What challenges are the successful candidates likely to face in these roles?
This is a new and innovative project, we already have local steering groups ready to start developing activity and the successful candidates will have to hit the ground running and tailor their approach to the particular needs of each locality.
