World Child Cancer hires Allison Ogden-Newton as chief executive

- The former chief executive of Social Enterprise London, Allison Ogden-Newton, has joined World Child Cancer as chief executive.

- Sam Matthews has been appointed chief executive of Charities Evaluation Services, a charity that helps voluntary sector organisations become more effective. She was previously its acting chief executive.

- Chicks, a charity that provides respite breaks for disadvantaged children, has named Tim Bunting (right) as head of fundraising and communications. He joins from the charity ShelterBox.

- The City of London Corporation has appointed David Farnsworth as chief grants officer for its charity, the City Bridge Trust. He was head of the refugee and asylum seeker initiative at the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund.


- Simon Hebditch (right), former chief executive of the infrastructure body Capacitybuilders, has been named chair of the Small Charities Coalition and Charity Trustee Networks.
