Year of the dragon

Duncan Bannatyne, the entrepreneur and star of television programme Dragons' Den, will be presenting Third Sector's Britain's Most Admired Charities awards on 16 March. Voluntary sector chief executives are invited to vote for the four awards, sponsored by Barclays, from today.

Bannatyne won the Celebrity Charity Champion award at the BMAC awards last year. The other three awards are Most Admired Charity, held by The Children's Society, Most Admired Chief Executive, held by Clare Tickell of Action for Children, and Most Innovative Charity, held by the London Community Recycling Network

Voting for this year's nominees, chosen by Third Sector and a panel of advisors,  is restricted to chief executives of voluntary organisations and must be done electronically by visiting

All who vote are eligible to come to the awards ceremony on 16 March on the spectacular 30th floor of Barclays headquarters in Canary Wharf, east London. The deadline for voting is the end of the day on Monday 8 March.
