Zillah Bingley appointed chief executive of Sparks

The children's health charity Sparks has appointed Bingley, previously a consultant, as its new chief executive.

The international development charity Traidcraft has appointed Charlotte Timson, global programmes director at the development agency Restless Development, as a new director. She replaces Paul Spray, who retired in March.

Kate Burt, the former chief executive of British Rowing, has been appointed chief operating officer at the young people's sport charity Greenhouse.

Laura Kerby is the new chief executive of Penny Brohn Cancer Care. She was an executive board member at Nuffield Health.

The digital skills charity Go On UK has appointed Rachel Neaman as chief executive. She is digital leader at the Department of Health and will take up her new role in September.

The social investment wholesaler Big Society Capital has appointed to its board Fiona Ellis, founding director of the Northern Rock Foundation and a voluntary sector consultant.
